The mother’s womb is a sensory playground for her baby. The fetus once reaches 23 weeks, responds to your voice and other sounds in the room, reacts to light and dark shadows as you move from place to place, tumbles as you switch positions, tastes sweet or spicy foods you've just eaten, may even respond to what she hears by moving around more, and It's through these experiences that your baby prepares for life after birth. Experts believe these experiences cause physiological changes in your fetus's sensory systems that are necessary for normal brain growth.

They are aware of noises inside the womb – your blood rushing, heart pumping, and digestion working as well as outside language. Your baby may start to recognize certain vowel sounds from your language after 32 weeks.
Memory
Babies can remember certain sounds from their mother’s language, also can remember certain music that is played to them while in the womb.
Sight
Vision is the last thing to develop in unborn babies. Up to 26 weeks of pregnancy the baby's eyes are completely closed because the retina is in continuous development phase. Around 28 weeks they get some sensation, if your tummy is exposed to high light babies immediately react with some moves inside.
Smell
The baby starts recognizing the smell after 28 weeks of gestation period when the nasal cavity becomes free from blockages. The amniotic fluid which flows through the baby’s oral and nasal cavities can trigger a sense of smell. Newborns are drawn to the scent of breast milk, although they’ve never been exposed to it before.
Touch
Babies like to sleep in the womb while their mother is awake because the movements make them sleep. When a hand is rubbed on the mother’s belly babies can move in response even at 14 weeks.
Taste
All the flavors from your diet are transmitted to your baby while in the womb, Your unborn baby may even get a taste for spicy food, sweet food, and can respond in its own way.
Ways to bond with your baby during pregnancy
Here are some ways that might help you and your baby to start forming a good connection before it’s birth.
• Knowing he or she can hear you, talk, and sing to your baby.
• Lightly touch and rub your belly, or massage it.
• Respond to your baby’s kicks. Gently push against the baby or rub your belly where the kick occurred and see if there is a response.
• Play relaxing and calming music to your baby.
• Give yourself time to calm your mind. You can start with meditation for relaxation.
• Try writing a day-to-day dairy or stories about your experience.
• Have an ultrasound. Seeing your baby moving inside the womb can be an amazing experience for parents, and can help them to bond with the baby since it can suddenly seem ‘real’.
• Relax, do not stress yourself and take good care of your health.
